“The Purge: Election Year” Gets Timely New TV Spot

The Purge: Election Year is the latest installment in the highly successful horror series that revolves around a futuristic America that holds an annual “purge” where all crime (including murder) is legal.

Following the events of The Purge: Anarchy, Election Year centers around Sergeant Leo Barnes, new head of security for Senator Charlie Roan, a politician running for re-election on a platform of outlawing the barbaric annual event. The twist? Someone in the Senator’s camp has betrayed her and now she is on the run on the most deadly night of the year.

With the film slated for release on July 1, 2016, Universal Pictures has just released a new TV spot that coincidentally ties in the actual upcoming election. Feast your eyes on the prize, and begin the countdown to this year’s horrific night where everyone is vulnerable.
