Frances McDormand Features in New “Women Talking” Trailer

The newest trailer for Women Talking is full of, as expected, women talking. Sarah Polley’s new film features an all star cast as a group of women in an isolated religious community trying to figure out their next steps to protect themselves and their children.

The trailer makes clear that these women have faced violence from the men in their lives and have hit a crossroads where they must come to a decision as a group. Otherwise, the trailer is light on details. Themes of generational pain and learned misogyny are threaded through their conversations as they must decide to forgive, fight, or stay.

Based on the book by Miriam Toews, Women Talking stars Rooney Mara, Claire Foy, Jessie Buckley, Judith Ivey, Sheila McCarthy, with Ben Whishaw and Frances McDormand. See the new trailer below and see it in select theaters this Christmas, and everywhere in January.
