Fine Dining Goes Horror in “The Menu” Trailer

It used to be that the most horrifying part of fine dining was the bill. But in new Searchlight Pictures film The Menu, diners may find the real horror lies with those preparing their food.

Directed by Mark Myeloid, the film stars Nicholas Hoult and Anya Taylor-Joy as a couple who travel to a coastal island to eat at a high-end exclusive restaurant where the chef, played by Ralph Fiennes, has prepared a lavish menu with some shocking surprises. It’s got all the markings of a good horror story — an isolated location, a clueless young couple, a creepy chef with a kitchen full of cooks that yell “Yes, Chef!” in unison in a very intimidating way.

The film also stars John Leguizamo, Judith Light, and Hong Chau and was written by Seth Reiss and Will Tracy. Produced by Adam McKay and Betsy Koch, The Menu is only in theaters on November 18, 2022.
