Running Time:91 Minutes

Really, this movie started out very awesome. Then suddenly, out
of nowhere, it went way off track. The
Future was a movie I wanted to enjoy. I tried to open my mind and embrace
the weirdness, but it was not that easy.

The film centers on a couple that adopts a cat. Unfortunately,
they can't take the cat home for a month, per doctor's orders. They decide to
use that month to reinvent themselves and that's when things get complicated.

Thinking about it now, I can't believe The Future turned out the way it did. As the middle of the movie
approached, I thought this would be one of my favorite films. The leads were
adorable together and the script was just as great. The cat even narrated here
and there, which made the situation even more endearing.

Then the characters and the story went off track. I don't want to
say how, obviously not to ruin the movie, but it just didn't work. I once loved
them only to end up hating them and their lives. It was another ending that
left the conclusion open to interpretation and maybe I've just seen one too
many films finish this way. This ending was just too over the top for me.

The Future took me on a
ride, and for a while I liked it, then I began to wonder what was happening but
I stayed hopeful, and then I was ready to get off and vomit. There's simply no
better way to wrap it up than to admit that The
Future self-destructed.
