Robert De Niro is back on the big screen in The Comedian, the fictional story of aging comic icon Jackie Burke (De Niro). Forced to complete community service for punching an audience member, Jackie meets Harmony (Leslie Mann) and they bond over their mandated service.
To illustrate Jackie’s tangled career and personality, the new poster for The Comedian highlights De Niro as Jackie, with a torso that shifts into a tangled mic and wire. Set in mostly black and white, the poster is graphic and simple, focused on that grizzled, bemused expression we know so well.
Directed by Taylor Hackford, The Comedian opens in New York and Los Angeles on January 13, 2017.
