While he's played the Devil in Tenacious D's Pick of Destiny movie and appeared in an X-Files episode, Dave Grohl has never appeared in a proper horror movie. But that changes with next year's release of Studio 666.
In a bit of meta comedy, the band plays themselves, renting a mansion to record their latest album. Of course, that house is haunted. Grohl promises lots of gore and laughs. "Be ready to laugh, scream, and headbang in your popcorn," the Foo Fighters lead singer said in a press release.
The cast also includes Jeff Garlin (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Will Forte (MacGruber), and comedian Whitney Cummings. Stars Jenna Ortega and Leslie Grossman are no strangers to horror. The former appeared in Netflix's The Babysitter: Killer Queen, while the latter co-starred in the latest season of American Horror Story.
Open Road unleashes Studio 666 on Friday February 25.
