Over the last several weeks Hollywood has been buzzing over the title dispute between Warner Brothers and The Weinstein Company regarding the title of the upcomign film The Butler. Well, the verdict has been reached and in the end The Weinstein Company has been forced to rename their film to Lee Daniels' The Butler.
The film, which stars Forest Whitaker, Oprah Winfrey, Mariah Carey, John Cusack, Jane Fonda, Cuba Gooding, Jr., Terrence Howard, Minka Kelly, Lenny Kravitz, Melissa Leo, James Marsden, David Oyelowo, Alex Pettyfer, Vanessa Redgrave, Alan Rickman, Liev Schreiber and Robin Williams, tells the story of a White House butler who served eight American presidents over three decades. The story showcases the drastic changes that swept the country during the butler's reign, encompasing such monumental historical events as the civil rights movement and the Vietman War.
The film, which just got an updated trailer with its new title, is set to hit theaters on August 16.
