Summit Entertainment has just released the first trailer from their highly anticipated film Divergent.
Based on the worldwide best selling novel by Veronica Roth, Divergent takes place in the future where everyone is divided into distinct factions based on their destinctive personalities. Tris Prior is a Divergent, someone who doesn't fit into any group. When she learns of a conspiracy to destroy all of the Divergents she must uncover what makes Divergents so dangerous before it is too late.
Directed by Neil Burger, Divergent boasts an impressive cast including Shailene Woodley, Theo James, Miles Teller, Ray Stevenson, Maggie Q, Ashley Judd, Jai Courtney, Mekhi Phifer and Academy Award winner Kate Winslet. It is set to hit theaters on March 21, 2014.

I see too many movies to actually win any film trivia contest, so don’t waste your first pick on me. My friends rent movies from my bookcase shelves, and one day I do plan to start charging. I long to live in LA, where my movie obsession will actually help me fit in, but for now I am content with my home in Austin. I prefer indies to blockbusters, Longhorns to Sooners and Halloween to Friday the 13th. I miss the classics, as well as John Ritter, and I hope to one day sit down and interview the amazing Kate Winslet.
