With Cedric the Entertainer stepping down, the long-running game show Who Wants to be a Millionaire has found a new host in Brooklyn Nine-Nine breakout star Terry Crews. ABC announced Wednesday that Terry would take over the syndicated game show's 13th season this fall. Who Wants to be a Millionaire launched as a weekday show in 2002 when Meredith Vieira, who left in 2013, then hosted.
It should come as no surprise that Crews has taken on this venture. The actor is also an author, former NFL star and has guest hosted on the Today Show and The Kris Jenner Show. "Millionaire is such a beloved franchise and I can't wait to get started as a new host. In addition to my film projects including Blended, Brooklyn Nine-Nine and now being a first time author, hosting has always been a dream of mine, and I couldn't have asked for a greater opportunity," said Crews.
