“Newtown” Trailer Looks at Life After Sandy Hook

Filmed over almost three years, Kim A. Snyder’s documentary Newtown is a close-up, human look at the lives of parents who lost their children during the shooting at Sandy Hook Elementary School in 2012. The new trailer for the film previews its in-depth interviews and testimonies that help tell the story we don’t often hear – what happens to those left in the wake of a tragedy?

First premiering at Sundance, Newtown has also screened at SXSW, BAMcinemaFest and the White House before it makes its way to theaters on October 7 in New York and October 14 in Los Angeles, with a wider release to follow.

In partnership with Fathom Events, Newtown will screen in over 300 theaters nationwide on November 2nd. A live town hall discussion will follow the screening, hosted by CNN’s Chris Cuomo and featuring many Newtown residents.
