Jennifer Lopez Returns to Rom-Com Roots in “Second Act”

It’s been years since Jennifer Lopez took on a romantic comedy, but we’re happy to say SHE’S BACK. And in classic JLo style, she hasn’t aged a day.

Second Act is a comedy in the vein of Working Girl and Maid in Manhattan. Maya is a 40-year-old woman struggling with frustrations from unfulfilled dreams. That is, until she gets the chance to prove to Madison Avenue that street smarts are as valuable as book smarts.

The film also stars Milo Ventimiglia and Vanessa Hudgens and directed by Peter Segal (Get Smart, 50 First Dates). Second Act looks to be a film about empowerment, a good ol’ fashioned feel-good film.
