The name John le Carre is synonymous with espionage. Le Carre, real name David Cornwall, is the author of classic espionage novels like “The Spy Who Came in from the Cold” and “Tinker Tailor Soldier Spy”. Loosely based on his time as a British spy, the novels have seen worldwide success and have been adapted to the screen.
In the new Apple Original Film The Pigeon Tunnel, Academy Award-winning director Errol Morris has captured le Carre’s final interview and turned it into a documentary spanning decades, from the Cold War to present day. It’s a look into the author himself and the world in which he came of age, told cinematically with archival footage and dramatized vignettes.
