Let's just get this out of the way first: Wrong is weird. Really weird. It's the kind of weird that has people checking out within the first twenty minutes if you're not into it. And really, your enjoyment of the film will largely depend on your tolerance for bizarre comedy. The central character, Dolph, loses his beloved dog Paul, which sets off a chain of events involving a French gardener, an acid-splashed kidnapper and an incompetent private investigator who also specializes in the memories of fecal matter.

Wrong would be a perfect midnight movie "“ it features a really funny performance from Sundance staple Steve Little and more than a handful of hysterical sight gags, including a recurring joke about an alarm clock. The music is appropriately weird as well, occasionally loud and intense for seemingly no reason at all. The issue I had with Wrong was simple: I was pretty bored by the sixtieth minute or so, begging for the scene-stealing William Fichtner to return as Master Chang.  Wrong is straight-up weird. Decide appropriately.

Wrong is competing in the World Cinema Dramatic Competition.
