Review: Battle: Los Angeles

Cast:Aaron Eckhart, Michael Peña, Michelle Rodriguez, Ne-Yo,

Running Time:116 Minutes

Rated:PG-13

I was quite pleased with what I got out of Battle: Los Angeles. To be honest I think it is one of the best UFO vs. human flicks I have seen in awhile. Action is at a huge premium here which is awesome! I think this movie is more pleasing than you might expect.

As the world comes under attack by alien forces, a battle to hold onto the city of Los Angles ensues. Amongst the chaos, a Marine platoon is set off to find civilians and get them back to the safe zone before the military levels the city. The adventure that ensues is one that they surely will never forget.

This is a straight action movie. Explosions, guns, aliens, and bombs are what your going to find here. The action scenes are very well done. The movie will slightly remind you of the hit movie Black Hawk Down. Aaron Eckhart does a good job in bringing his character, SSgt. Michael Nantz to life. While he does have a few cheesy lines in the middle of the movie, for the most part he plays the role of the kick ass SSgt convincingly. A surprise to me was the quality of acting we get to see from silver screen newcomer Ne-Yo whose performance is equally as good.

Overall, Battle: Los Angeles Is well worth the price of admission. You honestly feel like your almost in the fight the way Director Jonathan Liebesman shoot some scenes, which make the experience even cooler. If you like war/action movies then I would really go check this movie out, you won't be disappointed.
