In their continuing quest to remake all your childhood faves, Disney has released the newest trailer for Pete’s Dragon, a live-action remake of the cherished 1977 family film. Directed by David Lowery and starring Bryce Dallas Howard, Oakes Fegley, Wes Bentley, Karl Urban, Oona Laurence, and Robert Redford, the trailer offers a better look at Elliot, Pete’s magical furry green dragon.
When forest ranger Grace (Howard) finds Pete (Fegley), an orphaned boy, living in the woods, she takes him in and listens to his stories about how he lives with a giant green dragon named Elliot. As she and her father Mr. Meacham (Redford) investigate further, they begin unraveling a giant, green secret hidden in the forests of the Pacific Northwest.
Disney’s Pete’s Dragon opens in U.S. theaters on August 12, 2016.
