With young stars like Billie Eilish and Olivia Rodrigo having already released documentaries about themselves, it seems very overdue that Jennifer Lopez should have her own. The pop star and actress will premiere her new Netflix documentary, Halftime, on June 8 at the 2022 Tribeca Film Festival.
Directed by Amanda Micheli, the film follows Lopez as she reflects on her milestones and evolution as an artist, and navigates the second half of her career as she continues to be a global superstar. “Tribeca is proud to feature a wide selection of diverse programming that reflects our commitment to equity and inclusion, and we’re eager to premiere this beautiful exploration of J. Lo’s Latina culture and heritage at the United Palace, just blocks away from the Bronx,” said Tribeca Festival co-founder and Tribeca Enterprises CEO Jane Rosenthal. After its premiere on June 8, Halftime will premiere on Netflix on June 14.
Tribeca Film Festival 2022 runs from June 8 to 19 and will consist of film premieres, live concerts, performances, talks, and demonstrations throughout New York City.
