Lesley Manville is no stranger to movies with fabulous outfits. She's been in at least two films that have won Best Costume Design: Phantom Thread and Topsy-Turvy. Next year, she'll star in a film that's sure to be a front-runner for the award. She plays the titular role, a maid who becomes obsessed with a Dior dress and moves to Paris.
Produced in partnership with the House of Dior, the film co-stars Isabelle Huppert, Jason Isaacs and Rose Williams. Carroll Cartwright (What Maisie Knew), Olive Hetreed (Wuthering Heights) and Keith Thompson (The Sapphires) co-wrote the film with director Anthony Fabian, whose more known for his documentary work.
Mrs. Harris Goes to Paris opens in theaters on March 4, 2022. It should serve as solid counterprogramming to The Batman.
