Disney has just announced that Helena Bonham Carter, most known for her work in Harry Potter, Planet of the Apes, Fight Club, Alice in Wonderland and last winters Les Miserablés, has been cast as the fairy godmother in their live-action retelling of the beloved classic Cinderella.
Previously annouced cast members include Academy Award winner Cate Blanchett as the wicked stepmother, Richard Madden as the price, and Lily James as the title character. The film will be directed by Sir Kenneth Branagh.

I prefer indies to blockbusters, Longhorns to Sooners and Halloween to Friday the 13th. I miss the classics, as well as John Ritter, and I hope to one day sit down and interview the amazing Kate Winslet.
