Disney Announces Emma Stone to Portray Cruella de Vil & Others

90s kids are about to get a whole lot happier.

Disney recently made an announcement about their slate of future live-action fairy tales and it looks darn interesting. Emma Stone will play Cruella de Vil in a live-action version of 101 Dalmatians, slated to come out in the next three years. Other projects Disney announced include A Wrinkle in Time, directed by Ava DuVernay, and Jungle Cruise, starring Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.

Dumbo, directed by Tim Burton, will premiere sometime between 2017 and 2019. Should we start betting now on whom Johnny Depp will play? Angelina Jolie will return as Malificent in Malificent 2 and Jungle Book 2 with original director Jon Favreau and writer Justin Marks back at the helm has also been made official. Plus, Mary Poppins will return during this time span, with Emily Blunt in the titular role and Lin Manuel-Miranda as Jack, a lamplighter similar to the original film’s chimney sweep Bert (played by Dick Van Dyke). It was also announced, although little is known, that Reece Witherspoon will play Tinker Bell in an upcoming film.
