At this point, you know when actor Michael B. Jordan and director Ryan Coogler team up on a project, it’s bound to be worth your time. The director of Black Panther and Creed has returned with a film that looks less comic book and more ghost story.
Sinners tells the story of twin brothers (Jordan) who return to their hometown to start again, only to discover an even greater evil is waiting for them. In the recently released trailer, this so-called “greater evil” stays in the shadows as we see Jordan and the cast become increasingly afraid of their unknown foe, using guns, fire, and whatever else they can get their hands on.
Written and directed by Cooler, the film also stars Hailee Steinfeld, Jack O’Connell, Wunmi Mosaic, Jayme Lawson, Omar Benson Miller, and Delroy Lindo. It is produced by Coogler, Sev Ohanian, and Zinzi Coogler.
