A teaser trailer has just dropped for The Hunt, the new social experiment thriller from Jason Blum, producer of Get Out and The Purge.
The film, which has been hidden in a certain degree of secrecy, centers on a remote Manor House where a group of global elites gathers to hunt humans for sport. But in much the way you’d expect, the plan goes a bit offtrack when one of the foreseen victims opts to fight back.
Interestingly enough, the trailer doesn’t reveal much in the way of plot. Instead, it opts to show itself as a commercial for the exclusive “hunt.” It’s an interesting choice that will likely confuse many; however, those who get the playful marketing strategy, there is much to be enjoyed.
The Hunt is headlined by Ike Barinholtz, Betty Gilpin, Emma Roberts, and two-time Academy Award winner Hilary Swank,. Directed by Craig Zobel, it is set to hit theaters September 27.
