Harrison Ford Narrated “Armstrong” Gets Debut Trailer

Everything in Hollywood seems to come in waves. With that in mind, no one should be surprised that we’re getting a Neil Armstrong documentary mere months after being treated to the story in Damien Chazelle’s First Man and the beautifully remastered Apollo 11.

Plainly titled Armstrong, the film boasts never-before-seen family home-movie footage as it paves way to understanding the ups and downs of one of America’s most highly regarded heroes. Made with the support of the Armstrong family, the film chronicles the events of Armstrong’s very public life, including his work as a fighter pilot in Korea, a member of Gemini 8 and Apollo 11, and the unknown challenges he faced thanks to his extreme fame.

The film, which just received its first trailer, is narrated by Harrison Ford and will hit both theaters and VOD platforms on July 12th to coincide with the 50th anniversary of the first moon landings.

I long to live in LA, where my movie obsession will actually help me fit in, but for now I am content with my home in Austin. I prefer indies to blockbusters, Longhorns to Sooners and Halloween to Friday the 13th. I miss the classics, as well as John Ritter, and I hope to one day sit down and interview the amazing Kate Winslet.
