HBO Home Entertainment has just announced that they will release Game of Thrones seasons 3 and 4 in collectible Steelbook packaging this summer. After successfully releasing seasons 1 and 2 last fall, seasons 3 and 4 will be available on June 7, 2016 for $79.98.
Game of Thrones, HBO’s most-watched original series, attracts die-hard fans willing to shell out for special editions and HBO has gone all out to cater to these fans. The Steelbook features art designed by Elastic, the agency responsible for the series’ award-winning opening credits and each Steelbook showcases a difference location in Westeros. Seasons 3 will feature the sigil of House Frey while season 4’s Steelbook will feature Castle Black and the Wall with Jon Snow’s sword, Longclaw, as the featured magnet.
While season 6 will be underway or finished by the time these come out, it’s nice to know we have something to look forward to before we all go back to patiently awaiting the next season of this addictive fantasy drama.
