Cee Lo Green, the coach known for his colorful costumes and laid-back attitude, has confirmed he won’t return to ‘The Voice’ for future seasons. In an interview with Ellen Degeneres, Green said he was still under contract with NBC and is looking forward to developing other television opportunities with the network. Green elaborated that he wants to focus on his music for the time being.
Both Green and fellow coach Christina Aguilera took some time off last year, opening the door for Shakira and Usher to take a seat in the highly coveted coach's chair. No word yet on if either of these two artist will serve as Green's full-time replacement, though it is likely that a long list of acts are anxious for the opportunity.
'The Voice', which is a ratings juggernaut for NBC, returns Monday, February 24th.
