Terrance Malick’s new film, Song to Song, finally has a trailer — and just in time before its world premiere at the South by Southwest Film Festival!
Starring Michael Fassbender, Ryan Gosling, Rooney Mara and Natalie Portman, Song to Song is a modern love story set against the Austin, Texas music scene. Two entangled couples — struggling songwriters Faye (Mara) and BV (Gosling) and music mogul Cook (Fassbender) and the waitress he pursues (Portman) chase success through a rock ’n’ roll landscape of seduction and betrayal.
The film was shot all the way back in 2012 and was filmed at locations and music festivals throughout Austin. Locals will catch glimpses of a Fun Fun Fun Fest mosh pit, a pop up bar from Austin City Limits Music Festival, local Italian restaurant Asti Trattoria, and a drive down Congress Avenue.
With a pedigreed cast and the return of cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki (The Revenant, Birdman, Gravity), Song to Song is sure to be an in-demand opening night film for SXSW.
