Families are complicated. Especially when you have a brother recently released from prison. Oh, and you found a strange, alien-like gun in an abandoned warehouse and are now being pursued by mysterious baddies.
There’s a lot going on in the trailer for Kin, but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. Myles Truitt plays Eli, a kid that can’t seem to avoid trouble when he finds a mysterious high-tech weapon that could be from the future or from another planet. To protect himself and his ex-convict brother (Jack Reynor), the pair go on the run as they try to elude his brother’s past and the gun’s original owners. Additional cast includes Zoe Kravitz, Carrie Coon, Dennis Quaid and James Franco.
A mix of sci-fi, family drama, and action film, Kin looks ready to provide the heart pumping action of a good summer flick. See the trailer below and catch it in theaters on August 31, 2018.
