Best known for his role in the original cast of Hamilton, Daveed Diggs is making the transition to the big screen with his longtime friend and collaborator, Rafael Casal. Written and starring the two friends, Blindspotting follows Collin (Diggs) in the final days of his probation. Him and his best friend, Miles (Casal), work as movers, where Miles can’t seem to keep himself (and, consequently, Collin) out of trouble.
The trailer gives us an intense first look at a film that promises to be funny, bold, and unafraid to shy away from issues of race and class, particularly in relation to its Oakland setting.
