Chloe Grace Moretz is no stranger to action flicks. The former child star made an unforgettable impression as Hit-Girl in 2010’s Kick-Ass and its ensuing sequel. So it’s no surprise to see her back to kicking ass in the new trailer for Shadow in the Cloud.
Set during World War II, Moretz plays Maude Garrett, a mysterious young woman tasked with protecting an even more mysterious box alongside an all-male crew of a B-17 bomber. None too pleased about having a girl join their ranks, the crew throws every challenge they can think of at Maude until strange things start happening and they’ll need her fighting skills even more.
Directed by Roseanne Liang, the film also stars Nick Robinson, Beulah Koale, Taylor John Smith, Callan Mulvey, Benedict Wall, Joe Witkowski, and Byron Coll.
After showing at the 2020 Toronto International Film Festival and the 2020 AFI Fest, Shadow in the Cloud will be in select theaters and on video-on-demand on January 1, 2021.
