Review: Your Highness

Score:F

Director:David Gordon Green

Cast:Danny McBride, James Franco, Natalie Portman, Zooey Deschanel

Running Time:102 Minutes

Rated:R

Perverted and disgusting are the two best words I can use to
describe this terrible film. If you like nudity, profanity, misogyny, and body
humor, all to an insulting degree then maybe you'll like Your Highness.
Otherwise stay as far away from this film as possible.

Thadeous (Danny McBride) and Fabious (James Franco) are brothers
and sons to the King. When an evil magician kidnaps the woman Fabious was going
to marry, the two set out on a quest to find her. Thadeous being the useless
guy he is must decide whether or not he wants to be a hero.

I'm not sure if it was this movie's intention to shock or offend
half its audience, but after the first thirty minutes, I couldn't have cared less
about what was happening. The jokes
were not only lame, they didn't make sense, just like most of the film. It was
set in medieval times, which served more as a backdrop than an actual part of
the film's joke and therefore was a waste of good material.

You should never trust a trailer and in this case, most of the
funny clips that were advertised were actually pulled from the film. Everything
relied on being crude without even an ounce of cleverness. I enjoy a good
popcorn, brainless movie, but this wasn't it.

Your Highness is an example
of everything a comedy shouldn't be. James Franco, Natalie Portman and Danny
McBride were laughable in the worst way possible. I could go on and on with
criticisms. Instead, just take my word and see a different film.
