If I am being honest, before I saw this film I could not remember why Dax Shepard ever became famous. However, after watching Brother's Justice I now remember: the dude is freakin' funny! Shot in the now popular mock-umentery style, Brother's Justice is a film based on the making of the actual movie, Brother's Justice. Yes, it is kind of confusing at first, but if you actually sit down and watch this film, you will understand that the confusion creates some of the biggest laughs in the entire feature. The film was made with the help of his buddy (and producer) Nate Tuck. Motivated by box office statistics, actor Dax Shepard decided to leave comedy to pursue his dream of becoming an international martial arts action star. Lacking any formal training, with no funding for his blockbuster script, and facing rejection at every turn, Shepard shows that there is no obstacle too great for iron will. Pulling Hollywood buddies into the mix, Shepard refuses to accept "˜no' for an answer, getting banned from televised awards shows and talk shows in the process.While much of the attention is on Shepard throughout the film, Tom Arnold is the funniest cast member, hands down! His constant demeanor as the funny old guy really brings the comedy full circle. Add in Bradley Cooper and David Koechner and the film becomes officially complete.In the end, this was really quite a find for me. Brother's Justice is funny, random, and totally off the wall, but unlike other film's of its kind"¦it works! Dax's idea and the conviction of his "pitch" are amusing to watch. If you are lucky enough to catch this movie, you shouldn't miss it. It might look a little weird but trust me, it is really, really funny!
