Spike Lee Releases New Prince Music Video with “BlacKkKlansman”

Now in theaters, Spike Lee’s BlacKkKlansman has been making waves and opened to critical acclaim for its telling of the true story of an African-American detective (John David Washington) determined to infiltrate and expose the Ku Klux Klan in early 1970’s Colorado. Together with his colleague Flip Zimmerman (Adam Driver), the pair team up  to take down the extremist hate group. The film also stars Laura Harrier and Topher Grace.

In conjunction with the film, Spike Lee has directed and released an extended trailer/music video for “Mary Don’t You Weep”, a previously unreleased Prince song. The video shows clips and photos from the film set to Prince’s somber and stripped down song.
