The dramatized reboot of Will Smith’s famous TV show The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air had its doubters when it premiered in 2022. Debuting with positive reviews and set in modern day Los Angeles, Bel-Air follows Will from West Philadelphia to Los Angeles, but this time with less live audience and more gritty drama.
Peacock recently announced that Bel-Air’s upcoming fourth season will be its last. The series stars Jabari Banks as Will, Adrian Holmes as Phillip Banks, Cassandra Freeman as Vivian Banks, Olly Sholotan as Carlton Banks, Coco Jones as Hilary Banks, and Akira Akbar as Ashley Banks. The showrunner and writer is Carla Banks Waddles, who executive produces alongside Morgan Cooper, Will Smith, Terence Carter, James Lassiter, Miguel Melendez, Benny Medina, Quincy Jones, and Andy and Susan Borowitz.
Previous seasons have seen guest stars from the original series including Tatyana Ali, Joseph Marcell, Vernee Watson-Johnson and Daphne Maxwell Reid. May we see even more guest stars in its final season? We’ll have to wait and tune into Peacock to see.
