Lady Gaga Reveals “A Star Is Born” Soundtrack Details

The moment we’ve all been waiting for has finally arrived: Warner Bros. has officially announced the official motion picture soundtrack to the highly anticipated A Star Is Born.  The soundtrack - which features new music from six-time Grammy Award-winner Lady Gaga and director Bradley Cooper - can be pre-ordered HERE.

The disc boasts nineteen songs from a wide range of musical styles and fifteen dialogue tracks that will allow fans to revisit the emotions they experienced when watching the film.  The soundtrack follows the musical arc and relationship journey of the film’s two leads: Bradley Cooper’s Jackson Maine and Lady Gaga’s Ally.  It is their adventure we watch unfold on the screen, and it will be that same adventure that we hear as we are taken through the trials and tribulations of their quest.

Cooper co-wrote and is making his directorial debut with A Star Is Born, a remake of the 1937 film by the same name.  The film marks the first major role for Lady Gaga, who won a Golden Globe in 2016 for her work in American Horror Story.  That same year she also earned an Oscar nomination for her original song “’Til It Happens to You,” which was featured in The Hunting Ground.

Every song on the soundtrack was recorded live, with either Cooper or Gaga appearing in every track, either in solo or duet form.  The A Star Is Born soundtrack will be released by Interscope Records on October 5, the same day as the film.

About Stephen Davis

Stephen Davis
I owe this hobby/career to the one and only Stephanie Peterman who, while interning at Fox, told me that I had too many opinions and irrelevant information to keep it all bottled up inside. I survived my first rated R film, Alive, at the ripe age of 8, it took me months to grasp the fact that Julia Roberts actually died at the end of Steel Magnolias, and I might be the only person alive who actually enjoyed Sorority Row…for its comedic value of course. While my friends can drink you under the table, I can outwatch you when it comes iconic, yet horrid 80s films like Adventures in Babysitting and Troop Beverly Hills. I have no shame when it comes to what I like, and if you have a problem with that, then we’ll settle it on the racquetball court. I see too many movies to actually win any film trivia contest, so don’t waste your first pick on me. My friends rent movies from my bookcase shelves, and one day I do plan to start charging. I long to live in LA, where my movie obsession will actually help me fit in, but for now I am content with my home in Austin. I prefer indies to blockbusters, Longhorns to Sooners and Halloween to Friday the 13th. I miss the classics, as well as John Ritter, and I hope to one day sit down and interview the amazing Kate Winslet.
