In case you haven’t checked the calendar, “Oscar season” is quickly approaching. Which is to say, films vying for attention from the Academy will begin to premiere in the next few months. Thus, this summer we get trailers.
Judging by the recently released trailer, Jeff Nichols’s (Midnight Special) new drama Loving certainly looks set to vie for some nominations. The film, based on a true story, chronicles the marriage of interracial couple, Richard and Mildred Loving (Joel Edgerton and Ruth Negga). After marrying, the two spend nine years fighting for their right to live as a family and have children in their hometown, taking their case as far as the Supreme Court.
Loving hits theaters on November 4.
