Disney Pixar Bumps “Soul” Release to November

Yet another film impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic. Disney announced recently that their newest Pixar animation feature, Soul, will now be released on November 20, instead of the original date of June 19.

Directed by Pete Doctor and Kemp Powers, Soul follows an aspiring musician who gets the break of a lifetime but finds himself transported out of his body and in the place where souls are created. The film stars Jamie Foxx as musician Joe Gardner and also stars Tina Fey, Quest Love, Phylicia Rashad and Daveed Diggs.

The COVID-19 pandemic has seen film and television productions shut down for the indefinite future. Many films have had their release dates pushed back, including the new James Bond film, No Time to Die, Disney’s live-action Mulan, Marvel’s Black Widow and the Wonder Woman sequel, Wonder Woman 1984, among many, many others.
