By the Eye of Agamotto!! The Doctor Strange teaser trailer debuted last night on The Jimmy Kimmel Show and Marvel is set to make a statement with this one.
Having a great track record in regard to casting, the studio appears to have knocked it out of the park once again with Benedict Cumberbatch as the Sorcerer Supreme, Dr. Steven Strange. The visual effects in this movie look like we, the viewers, are in for a wild and trippy ride with an amazing cast including Mads Mikkelsen and Chiwetel Ejiofor as the villains.
For all new to the world of Doctor Strange, the trailer gives you his origin in under two minutes. A brilliant, yet cocky surgeon is in a car crash where his hands are forever damaged. Instead of giving up, he is recruited to become the next Sorcerer Supreme, charged to protect the earth from the magical forces of evil.
For those of you already asking, yes, Doctor Strange will be in Avengers: The Infinity Wars (just not sure which one).
Ejiofor, Rachel McAdams, Tilda Swinton, Mads Mikkelsen, Chiwetel and Benedict Wong join Cumberbatch in the film, which is directed by Scott Derrickson. Part of Phase II of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Doctor Strange is set to come out of the Astral Plane and into theaters November 4th.
