Under-Appreciated “13 Hours” Getting 4K Treatment

Hugely under-appreciated since its 2016 release, Michael Bay’s 13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi was plagued by its underlying politics and its unfortunate timing regarding the 2016 Presidential election - but alas fans of the war film can experience the tense thriller in the coveted 4K high-resolution format.

A lukewarm box office performer, 13 Hours tells the true story of a group of ex-militant operators who fight an uphill battle with insurmountable odds to protect the CIA from a terrorist attack on a diplomatic compound in Benghazi.

The package, which hits store shelves on June 11, includes a series of behind-the-scenes features, a slew of cast and crew interviews, and highlights from Bay’s filmmaking process.

Directed by Bay,13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi stars John Krasinski, James Badge Dale, and Pablo Schreiber.

I prefer indies to blockbusters, Longhorns to Sooners and Halloween to Friday the 13th. I miss the classics, as well as John Ritter, and I hope to one day sit down and interview the amazing Kate Winslet.
