The first trailer for Bradley Cooper’s hotly anticipated directorial debut is finally here. A Star is Born stars Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga, in her first leading role in a film, as Jackson and Ally. Jackson is a seasoned musician who discovers and falls for struggling artist Ally. As her career soars, their relationship breaks down.
The trailer neatly sums up the plot, while the two sing in the background throughout. All the songs are original to the film, written by Lady Gaga and Cooper with artists that include Lukas Nelson, Jason Isbell and Mark Ronson. Impressively, all the music was sung and recorded live.
