After the wild success of Fifty Shades of Grey, Christian Grey (Jamie Dornan) and Anastasia Steele (Dakota Johnson) are back in the highly anticipated sequel, Fifty Shades Darker. Based on the just released debut trailer, the film looks to keep its promise of being darker and more dangerous that its first iteration.
This time, Christian and Anastasia must confront Christian’s past. The past haunts the present in the form of Elena Lincoln (Kim Basinger) aka “Mrs. Robinson”, the woman who apparently abused Grey when he was younger. As if that wasn’t enough, Leila Williams (Bella Heathcote), Grey’s jilted ex-lover, shows up to throw another wrench in the works and begins stalking Anastasia.
Full of lush scenery and dramatic looking sex scenes, Fifty Shades Darker is sure to draw die-hard fans to theaters when it premieres on February 14, 2017 - an incredibly apt Valentine’s Day.
