Ready those Silver-Monkey-assembling skills, because Legends of the Hidden Temple is returning to your television screens. Nickelodeon is reviving the beloved 90s game show as a live-action TV movie, reports Variety.
In the movie, three siblings are tasked with competing obstacles to remain alive – a scripted version of the original game show format. Slated to come out later this year, the movie will also feature elements like The Steps of Knowledge and various colored animals modeled after the team names.
Legends of the Hidden Temple originally ran on Nickelodeon for three seasons from 1993-1995 and still airs in reruns on TeenNick today.
Nickelodeon, eager to capitalize on that millennial nostalgia, is also working on a TV movie for Hey Arnold! that takes place after the events of the series.
