Our first real look at season 6 of Game of Thrones has finally arrived! Ever since the season 5 finale caught up with George R. R. Martin’s books last year, the upcoming season has been shrouded in mystery.
The biggest mystery – is Jon Snow (Kit Harington) really dead? – seems to be solved in the trailer, as we get a view of Jon’s corpse after that traitorous attack. Don't mind me, I'll be in the corner still firmly in denial.
Season 6 also marks the return of Bran Stark (Isaac Hempstead Wright), who missed all of last season to go through puberty give the rest of the characters time to catch up to his storyline. In the trailer, we see him come face to face with The Night’s King.
Besides that, all our old favorites are back. Cersei (Lena Headey) is still desperately clinging to power in King’s Landing, Daenerys (Emilia Clarke) is without her dragons once again, and Tyrion (Peter Dinklage) is uttering ominous lines like, “You’re in the great game now. And the great game is terrifying.”
Season 6 of Game of Thrones premieres April 24 on HBO.
