Fox has just casted the lead, Detective James Gordon, in their highly anticipated Batman-themed drama Gotham. Their choice? 'Sutherland' and 'O.C.' alum Benjamin McKenzie.
Based on DC characters from the Batman universe, Gothem is set to explore the origin stories of Commissioner James Gordon and the many villians that have wrecked havoc on Gothem City over the years. Cast members not yet set include a young Bruce Wayne, Afred and villains Riddler, Catwoman, the Joker and the Penguin.
The film, which is set to hit the small screen next season, has a full commitment order.
