ABC announced even more cancellations late Thursday night and Friday morning "“ Trophy Wife, Mixology, Super Fun Night, The Neighbors and Suburgatory have gotten the axe.
The Neighbors and Suburgatory were the only non-freshman comedies axed in the group. Plagued by low ratings, most of these cancellations come as no surprise, though Trophy Wife and Suburgatory had well-established online fanbases.
In renewal news, ABC has renewed The Middle for its sixth season and Dancing with the Stars for its 19th season. The long-running reality hit had little chance of cancellation. Other reality shows renewed include Shark Tank, The Bachelor and America's Funniest Home Videos (for its 25th season).
In pick up news, the drama starring Ryan Phillippe, Secrets and Lies, has been ordered to series. Based on an upcoming Australian series, the show centers on a father (Phillippe) who becomes the prime suspect in the murder of a young boy when he finds the body. It joins fellow new ABC dramas Astronaut Wives Club, The Club, Agent Carter, How to Get Away With Murder, Forever and American Crime.
