The most-buzzed about film at Sundance just got a release date and – no surprise – it’s smack in the middle of awards season! Yes, buzz for the 2017 Oscars contenders is already beginning and The Birth of a Nation will hit theaters October 7, 2016.
Written, directed by, and starring Nate Parker, The Birth of a Nation debuted at the Sundance Film Festival last month and broke festival records when it sold to Fox Searchlight for $17.5 million.
