Watch out Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. Netflix is here with a brand new music competition that Snoop Dogg promises “ain’t The Voice, motherf*****.”
Rhythm + Flow is set to feature superstars Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and Tip “T.I.” Harris as they search for the next hip hop sensation. The network’s first music competition show brings together industry legends across Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, and Chicago to uncover new artists and raw talent.
Much like the most recent collection of The Great British Baking Show, new episodes will roll out each Wednesday, with different phases of the competition featured across ten hour-long episodes. The first week will feature the auditions over 4 episodes, the second week will have cyphers, rap battles and music videos over 3 episodes, and the final week will have samples, collaborations and the finale over 3 episodes.
Besides the three judges (some may say coaches), the show will feature artists like the aforementioned Snoop Dogg as well as .Paak, Big Boi, Killer Mike, Lupe Fiasco, Miguel, Ty Dolla $ign, DJ Khaled, John Legend, and many more. Watch the star studded trailer below and catch Rhythm + Flow’s first four episodes on October 9.
