Oh, but that Emma Thompson could be every judge. In The Children Act, she takes on the role of a British High Court judge tasked to rule in a complicated case of a minor who refuses life-saving treatment. Based on the novel by Ian McEwan, the film also stars Stanley Tucci as Thompson’s husband and Fionn Whitehead as teenager Adam Henry.
Directed by Richard Eyre, the film comes to DVD next month, with an added bonus of audio commentary with the director, writer Ian McEwan and producer Duncan Kenworthy. See the trailer below and find The Children Act on DVD November 13, 2018.
