This month, Fantastic Fest will host the world premiere of Winston Azzopardi’s The Boat. In his first turn as director, Azzopardi has teamed up with his son, Joe Azzopardi, who co-wrote and stars in the film. The short film Albatross Soup will precede the film.
Have you ever wondered if a boat could be haunted? In The Boat, a lone fisherman, lost in a deep mist, finds and boards an abandoned sailboat. After his own boat goes missing, and he finds himself stuck on the mysterious vessel, he becomes its prisoner, left to fight for survival against an unseen enemy.
