Broadway star Anthony Rapp (Rent) stars as a washed-up Broadway director in Opening Night, about theater director Logan Joyce teaching drama at a Pittsburgh high school and the opening night of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
Taking place entirely over the opening night, the film explores the hijinks of the drama students and also stars Cheyenne Jackson as jaded TV star Eli Faisel. The Bard himself (Mitchell Jarvis) even makes an appearance in the new trailer seeking revenge.
Opening Night debuts on digital and VOD platforms May 6.
