Summer series The Night Shift has just been renewed for a second season by NBC. The drama has received a 14-episode order. Ratings for the show have been solid so far, with 7.8 million viewers watching the premiere and 6 million viewers watching last week's episode.
The Night Shift's 8-episode first season concludes on July 15. It stars Eoin Macken, Jill Flint, Brendan Fehr, and Ken Leung among a large ensemble cast. Executive producers are Gabe Sachs and Jeff Judah.
