Mid-January can be a real drag. Christmas is over but winter is still hanging on for a while longer. Thankfully, Amazon is giving us something lighthearted to get us through it all. Amazon Original Troop Zero will be available on the streaming platform starting January 17, 2020.
Starring Viola Davis, Allison Janney, Mckenna Grace and Jim Gaffigan, the film follows Christmas Flint (Grace) in 1977 rural Georgia. After being denied entry to the haughty local chapter of Birdie Scouts, Christmas decides to recruit a personal band of misfits to form a new troop. Full of heart and hijinks, the film is a perfect weekend watch.
To celebrate it’s release, Amazon Studios will create a Troop Zero float for the Tournament of Roses Parade happening on New Year’s Day in Pasadena, California.
